![]() Amy Binder was bitten by the acting bug when she was very young, and got her start by participating in her cousin’s home movies. She continued acting on stage and film through high school and university, with roles in The Giveaways, The Hound of the Baskervilles, A Tale of Two Cities, The Commedia Project, Retrospection, Darkly, Arcadia, and Macbeth, before discovering an aptitude and love for production. She has since gone on to co-found The Essential Players, and took on the roles of production manager and house manager for their first show, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, (Abridged). She has also gone back to her roots, teaming up with her cousin and his film company, Sunny Day Jazz, as a script supervisor for the short film What Floor? In September, she hopes to be running lights for the London Community Players’ production of The Perils of Persephone. Amy would like to thank her family for supporting her, and the rest of the Essential Players, both past and present, for being such an awesome group of people to work with. |
